It was late at night. Everyone was ready for bed except these two. My wife and my three year old. I was touched by the concentration these two had on their bedtime project, organize all the little cards that come with the National Geographic magazine for kids by animal. I had an old 300mm manual focus lens attached to a camera body I had been using for some outside shots still by the back door, grabbed it and shot wide open at minimum focus. I really like the photo even though it's somewhat out of out of focus and soft. It portrays love, safety and home to me.
